Permanent exhibition in one of it rooms that portraits the visitors the different stages of our numismatic historical development from the 16th century up to now. It has 1 500 pieces grouped in different historical stages in accordance with the main development periods of our nation. Among the most important pieces of this collection, there are 20 golden coins of great value.
The museum also exhibits medals, awards, cards that were given in sugar mills as a money substitute, paper currency, bonds, lottery tickets, numismatic documents and forgery detected in the country. Other collections include bills and coins from different parts of the world. Some of them are very old; others are valuable private collections or have a strange mintage (Coins and bills, Awards and medals, History of Numismatics).
